I tell you I definitely need constant help, I was the only one of four that had trouble finding City Hall! Rose Marie Burrell (Founder), Linda De La Torre (VP), and Robert Firl (Newsletter Editor) had no problems at all! I dashed through Presidio Park asking people along the way "Where is City Hall?". They all pointed to a tall brown building (255 Alameda) without even looking up! I quickly pushed through the glass doors and almost knocked over a security guard! He promptly escorted me to the reception desk where I was given a visitor's pass. Everyone behind the desk pointed in the direction of the elevators. As I was headed up to the tenth floor, I kept thinking - what a great day for TSDC. The reason being, Mayor Bob Walkup will be presenting us with a proclamation stating 9/26/02 as "West Coast Swing Day!".

I stepped out of the elevator and into corridor trying to remember -east or west? I'll go west - nope. OK, east, yes! The Mayor's office, I made it! I entered the reception area through two big glass doors and enter the nicest reception area I had ever seen! Sure enough, my three partners were all there quite relaxed on a sofa and chair, looking like they own the place! As I made conversation, I could not help but notice how busy the office was with people moving constantly about. What a great place - so color coordinated!
