All of you must congratulate Rose Marie Burrell (our club founder) when you see her next time. She has been nominated for the World Swing Dance Hall of Fame! It is a nomination well deserved. Rose Marie - the TSDC family is very proud of you and thanks for having an influence on our lives in a positive way through dance.

Don't forget that there is no club night on Thanksgiving Day (11/28/02)! Everyone will be home enjoying turkey and stuffing. Enjoy everyone, and come back to the Club to work some of those added pounds off by dancing!

The Holiday Party is just around the corner! Tickets are on sale for $25, $35 on December 7, so don't wait. We still need volunteers to perform various duties. If you can hang a streamer or tree ornament - we need you! For those of you interested in performing in the dinner show, take note that the deadline for registration is November 25^th! Call the hotline and leave a message if you are interested in performing. Don't wait to be asked, jump in and get involved, it's all for fun!

For your information, the Club was recently approached to endorse a charity project that involved dancing. Even though it looks like a worthy affair, we as a club cannot use the Club's name and assets to cover any type of endorsement for just about anything! We can promote the event through our advertising guidelines but not endorse! If you have any questions about this, don't hesitate to ask!

We need help in spinning CDs and in the publicity department - are you interested? By the way, our Club shirt makes a great Christmas gift.

• Board of Directors Meeting November 13^th 7 pm. All members are welcome.

• Board members are half way through their obligation. Election season is in sight.

• Happy Hour Sat. Nov 9^th, 7 - 9 pm, Keys West

• Need to set up a volunteer system, complete with coordinator. More to discuss later.

• Halloween Party agenda set.

• Email responsibilities passed from the newsletter editor to the membership secretary.

• The project "Swing Fever" was presented to the board. It was agreed to do an advertising exchange.

• Volunteers yet needed for the upcoming Holiday party. It is on course to meet the budget. The caterer has been paid half his fee.

• Anniversary Party successful.

• Judge coordinator position established, job description and nominations to follow.

• Email address to be set up for the Club.

• Club shirts will continue to be ordered and sold by demand.

• Rose Marie nominated to the World Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
